The Community Prayer Breakfast was created 21 years ago to reaffirm that people of goodwill, standing together for a common purpose can transcend racial, geographic, or cultural differences for community betterment.

To the Visitors of BattleCreekMich.com:

We hope you will plan to join us on Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at the 21st annual Community Prayer Breakfast in the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek. The program begins at 7:25 a.m. and ends by 9:00 a.m. Tickets are $10 each and include breakfast.

It is a privilege and honor to have Ambassador Robert A. Seiple as our keynote speaker. Ambassador, global leader and educator, Bob Seiple has spent the last three decades fashioning humanitarian solutions that endure. Dr. Seiple is president and founder of the Institute for Global Engagement. Prior to founding the Institute, he spent two years in the State Department as the first U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, and the previous 11 years as president of World Vision, Inc., the largest privately funded relief and development agency in the world.

The Community Prayer Breakfast is possible through ticket sales and financial support from you and others whose generosity underwrites the event. Most importantly, it is your financial support that enables area high school students to attend and hear a positive message at no cost to them.

We invite you to become a financial sponsor by donating any amount toward student tickets or to the Community Prayer Breakfast Fund used to offset costs of putting on the event. As an individual or corporate sponsor, your gift is tax-deductible, and your name will be listed on the program. Sponsors who are able to attend are invited to serve as a table host at the event. As a host you will have the opportunity to greet and encourage introductions among others who will join you at your assigned table.

To purchase tickets, or sponsor students, please phone 269-969-2194 or contact the Community Box Office, located at The United Arts Council Discovery Theatre, 51 West Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek, 269-441-2710.

We would be very pleased to have your financial support and attendance at the Community Prayer Breakfast on May 7th. We look forward to sharing this special time with you.

Sincerely,

Charles and Holly Coleman
