Peter and Carolyn Christ of Battle Creek, co-chairs of the 2001 Community Prayer Breakfast welcome the 1,050 in attendance. The Christs have been close friends of this year's speakers, Cedric and June Dempsey, since the four were students at Albion College. |

| The Community Brass Ensemble, led by Jerry Rose, director of bands in the Pennfield School District, added richness to the Prayer Breakfast setting. The Ensemble is comprised of musicians from throughout the Battle Creek area. |
